My attempt at a Gas Giant

 Circling a newly painted gas giant are three newly painted Kzinti: two Destroyers accompanying a Dreadnought. Probably waiting to pounce on some unsuspecting Klingons:

    Looks good. The tiny image on whatever site I followed the link from clipped it so it looked like a burger (I couldn't see the red spot or above).

    How big are your hexes? Are they monster big or are the ships fairly tiny?

      Hi Dave, thanks for looking. Blogger was being weird in all sorts of ways. Well spotted, by the way - the hexes are monster big (4" across); I use the mat to group the ships into squadrons for my home-brew fast play fleet rules based on Star Fleet Battles.
